I love planes, so as soon as I found out about this place, I wanted to go. There is a large variety of planes from the wright brothers plane to one person drones, to flying boats. If you like planes or any mechanical stuff, you would love getting up close with all of these planes. It took about 2 hours to look at all of the planes. But we didn't use any of the interactive things such as the flight simulator or checking out the interior of the planes that supported tours.
Incredible! A hidden gem. We learned so much. We even had a private tour from the guide who approached us. Very knowledgeable. We will tell our friends!
First time visiting the museum and was one of the best experiences service is the best they treats you like a family member
$18 for an adult ticket is a little steep. I spent about an hour slowly going through the exhibits and reading everything on a Friday afternoon. I think I was the only one there. It’s pretty run down. I’m a huge aviation nerd but I can’t say this is worth the stop unfortunately
Awesome museum! Has a giant boat plane and a bunch of other planes. Inside has cool exhibits and interactive stuff. Pretty cool!
Good one! Kids can enjoy looking at the flight models. Will get mire informations. Suggest to check on google maps for deals on tickets. I found suggestion from google map about group-on deals fir 4 adults admission just $24 which is actually $72
Really great museum. The staff gave us a tour of the museum and talked about every aircraft on display. Learned alot!

The museum's collection of aircraft is nothing short of impressive. It's like a journey through the evolution of flight, with beautifully restored planes from various eras. Walking among these historic aircraft, you can't help but appreciate the craftsmanship and innovation that went into their design and construction.
What truly sets the Oakland Aviation Museum apart is the dedication of its staff and volunteers. Their passion for aviation history is palpable, and they are more than willing to share their knowledge and stories with visitors. It's like having your own personal tour guides who are as excited about the planes as you are.
The museum's exhibits go beyond just planes; they delve into the rich history of aviation in the Oakland area. The artifacts, photographs, and interactive displays provide a comprehensive look at the role aviation has played in shaping the region.
For families, it's a fantastic educational opportunity for kids to learn about science, engineering, and history while having fun. The hands-on exhibits and flight simulators are a big hit with children of all ages.
In conclusion, the Oakland Aviation Museum is a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. It's a place where history comes alive, where you can immerse yourself in the world of flight, and where you leave with a newfound appreciation for the wonders of aviation.
